Oasis Brazil is part of a global family of inter-dependent Oasis organizations that seek to demonstrate Christian faith at work by meeting people’s physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs.

Oasis focuses primarily on the poor and marginalized, especially children and youth, in urban contexts and works irrespective of gender, sexuality, ethnicity and religion.

Since being founded in 1985, Oasis has grown into an international family of ten country bases with people serving in over 20 countries across six continents. Oasis bases are currently in the following countries/areas: Belgium, Brasil, India, Mozambique, South Africa, South Asia, Uganda, UK, USA and Zimbabwe. Not only does Oasis run many grassroots projects, it is also increasingly involved in motivating, training and equipping others to engage with their local communities.

All members of the Oasis Global Family work to transform the lives of individuals and communities, by confronting injustice and promoting inclusion. It is a strong value of Oasis to share resources and expertise throughout the Oasis family.

Oasis Brazil has been part of this Global Family since January-2006. Oasis Brazil is based at São Paulo the biggest city in South America with the focus of the work so far being in the outskirts of Sao Paulo.
